Raku Snails
 
Product Name: Raku Snail
Some snails live on land and some live in water. The body of the snail is soft but the outside is what allows for real protection. The shell enables them to retreat when needed. It also offers great security against predators and damage done by outside forces. The land snails have adapted extremely well to weather changes due to the thickness of their shells. Snails that live in moist areas have shells that tend to be thicker. Those who live in desert areas can stay sealed in their shells for two or more years. Some types of snails are called "burrowing snails." These are only found above ground in rainy weather. When the weather is hot and dry they burrow about 7.5 to 15 cm into the ground and become dormant until rain softens the earth around them.
